Why we built Orsane, Lightweight Task Management, Built for Agencies
Orsane is a task management tool built specifically for web agencies. Not for “any team.” Not for enterprise departments. Not for personal productivity experiments. For agencies doing client work every day.
Agencies live in constant motion. Multiple clients. Parallel projects. Designers, developers, PMs, and stakeholders all touching the same work at different moments. Yet most task tools fall into one of two extremes: overbuilt systems that demand configuration, training, and process policing before any real work can happen, or tools that are too light and fall apart the moment things get complex. Teams end up spending more time managing the tool than managing the work. Tasks get scattered across apps, decisions disappear into chat, and context is lost between hand-offs. That friction adds up. It slows teams down and makes everyday agency work feel heavier than it needs to be.
We ran an agency too. We were tired of tools that felt like they were built for factories instead of creative studios. We wanted something that felt like us. Fast, light, and human.
We believe task management for agencies should be quiet, familiar, client-aware, collaborative by default, and flexible rather than rigid. The tool should support the work without demanding attention. It should feel obvious from the first use, work naturally across multiple clients, keep discussions and decisions close to the work, and offer structure where it helps without forcing a process where it doesn’t. Most importantly, it should stay out of the way.
Orsane is designed around how agencies already think and work. Tasks are organized in lists that map naturally to clients, projects, or phases. Teams collaborate directly on tasks without jumping between tools, so context stays visible and ownership stays clear. There is no setup ceremony, no framework to adopt, and no onboarding required. You open it and start working.
As workloads grow, Orsane scales with teams across clients, disciplines, and timelines without turning into a bloated system that needs constant maintenance. It is built deliberately and carefully, with a strong bias toward simplicity and long-term usefulness. Every feature is evaluated by a single question: does this make everyday agency work clearer and lighter? If it doesn’t, it doesn’t ship.
Orsane is independent, bootstrapped, and built with care. We don't have investors demanding we add AI chatbots or bloated features just to hit a quarterly metric. We just have you. And we promise to keep it simple.
